How does Theatretrain Develop Social Skills

Developing any skill takes time and practice. Here are just a few ways Theatretrain can help develop social skills.

Improve communication skills

Theatretrain helps develop both verbal and non verbal conmmunication. During our drama classes your child will learn to speak clearly, project their voice, and communicate effectively with others on stage.

In dance classes your child will develop their ability to communicate non-verbally through body language and movement.

Effective communication skills can help us build strong relationships, create meaningful connections, and achieve our goals in both personal and professional settings.

Build Confidence

At Theatretrain we regularly perform in front of others, which can be nerve-wracking at first. However, as your child become more comfortable on stage, they can develop greater self-confidence that can translate to other social situations.

During a singing class your child can develop their vocal skills and become more comfortable singing in front of others.

Confidence can help us achieve our goals, face challenges with resilience, and feel better about ourselves.

Developing Social awareness

Singing classes at Theatretrain provide an opportunity for your child to listen to and appreciate others’ voices. This can help them develop social awareness and empathy for others’ experiences and perspectives.

In our dance classes we provide a safe and supportive environment where your child can learn to interact with others in a positive way. This can help them develop social awareness and sensitivity to others’ feelings and needs.

Social awareness is important because it allows us to understand and navigate the social dynamics of our world. It is the ability to perceive and understand the feelings, needs, and perspectives of others, and to use this understanding to guide our interactions and decisions.

Improving Team Work Skills

As part of our dance classes your child will work in partners and groups.  Your child will learn to work together effectively to achieve a shared goal.

In singing your child will work together to create harmonies and blend voices and in drama your child will often involve work in groups to create and perform scenes.

Teamwork skills are important because they allow us to work effectively with others to achieve shared goals.
