…while your children enjoy some fun and learning as they make new friends?

Child-free time can come at a great expense with childcare in London costing anything from £6-15+ an hour depending on the level of care you choose. That includes everything from someone who just looks after your child without doing any structured play or learning to a more structured approach that includes some play and learning but may not include socialisation with other children or the opportunity to role play and observe.
Did you know that Theatretrain classes can cost from as little as £7.33 an hour and for that your child will be learning new skills, having fun and making friends? Most importantly though, they will be developing life skills while they do it that just can’t be taught. Here are just a few of those life skills they could be developing:
💪 Resilience is the ability to adapt well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats, or significant sources of stress. It’s about having the ability to deal with difficult situations, move on and not allowing yourself to be permanently defeated by challenges. Resilience is a skill that can be developed and strengthened through various strategies and support systems.
🌟 Confidence and self-esteem in children, develops through a combination of positive reinforcement, opportunities for success, and supportive relationships. Theatretrain creates a safe space for children and young people to explore, learn from their mistakes, and develop their interests and strengths.
☎️ Communication Skills are developed through consistent, positive interactions. While starting from a young age is preferable, these can be developed at any time. These interactions involve talking, listening, and engaging in back-and-forth exchanges, which are crucial for building language and social skills. Activities at Theatretrain, coupled with a supportive environment, foster confidence and encourage children to express themselves.
☺️ Generosity, Kindness and Empathy are developed through a combination of learning and observing these traits in others, positive reinforcement, engaging in activities that encourage perspective-taking, and providing opportunities for children and young people to practise this themselves.
🗣️ Assertiveness gives children the ability to navigate social situations with confidence. It empowers them to express their needs and feelings respectfully, stand up for themselves and others, and build stronger relationships. Theatretrain creates a safe environment to engage in role-playing scenarios to practice assertive communication. We also believe in listening attentively while the child or young person is speaking, validating their feelings and concerns.
🧐 Emotional Intelligence is the ability to understand, use, and manage emotions in themselves and others. It encompasses self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills. At Theatretrain we create a safe space for expressing feelings, developing emotional vocabulary, and encouraging empathy and perspective-taking.
🎗️ Leadership is developed through a combination of observation, experience, and guidance. Providing opportunities for teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making, while also setting a good example, are key components in fostering leadership qualities and are a big part of the work we do at Theatretrain.
Your £7.33 an hour gives your child so much more than professional tuition in singing, dancing and acting, it gives them life-long skills which will take them through life. See what some of our other parents say on Trustpilot about Theatretrain:

“Theatretrain is such a great inclusive place where the children look after each other and are kind!”
“A perfect choice whether your child dreams of the West End or simply wants a fun, expressive outlet. Highly recommended for families wanting to inspire confidence, creativity, and joy in their young performers.”
“Fantastic training for all forms of drama, and for growing confidence above all. My daughter has been going every Saturday during term time for 11 years now and it has been a wonderful anchor to her week.
