Shakespeare Meets the 21st Century
What happens when a digital detox meets Elizabethan wit? In this playful and poignant new work, a group of young Theatretrain Sutton performers take inspiration from Love’s Labour’s Lost to embark on their own modern-day vow: a complete unplugging from the online world.
As they navigate the awkwardness, the temptations, and the surprising beauty of face-to-face interaction, they discover that some connections are worth more than all the likes in the world.
Theatretrain Sutton’s performance is a contemporary take on a classic tale, proving that sometimes the most profound discoveries happen when we log off.
This is an original play with songs and dances. The script was written by Company Director, Cas, in conjunction with the Theatretrain Sutton young performers, and inspired by Shakespeare’s Loves, Labours, Lost.
The dances have all been choreographed by Theatretrain Sutton Choreographer, Holly and the songs have all been arranged by Theatretrain Sutton Musical Director, Lucy.
