About Theatretrain Norwich
Building Confidence & Training The Next Generation Of Performers…

Hi, I'm Hayley!
I’m the Company Director and I’m the first person you’ll meet when you walk through the door.
As you’ll see from our photos, our Theatretrain uniform is black, therefore I always wear a brightly coloured jacket to ensure that you can spot me any time you need me!
I trained at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and I love watching our Theatretrain students grow in confidence week by week.
We provide professional training in the performing arts in Norwich, but we also operate with a family ethos.
I run the Wednesday evening sessions in Cringleford and teach acting at our Saturday classes alongside my staff listed below.
We look forward to welcoming you in to our Theatretrain family!
Learn Genuine Theatre Principles While You Make Friends At Theatretrain Norwich
Our young people get the chance to release their creativity in a safe and friendly place and we pride ourselves on having family values at the heart of our work.
Every child is welcome and no experience is necessary.
Our aim isn’t just to create better performers, but to help your children reach their full potential.
We understand that it can be expensive to send more than one child to theatre school and therefore we offer a 50% sibling discount.

Mariah
Musical Director
Mariah combines professional training with a genuine passion for musical theatre. A graduate of the Musical Theatre Performance program at Sheridan College in Ontario, Canada, she has contributed to numerous productions in a variety of roles, both onstage and behind the scenes.
Deanna Matthews
Company Assistant
Deanna first joined our TT family as one of our Junior Ensemble (MINIS) teachers on Saturdays.
She is a professional singer and can often be found in-and- around Norwich, performing with her band Gen 29.
Deanna is a former Theatretrain student herself and attended as a child from the age of 7! She continued with her passion for music, completing her education with a level 3 Diploma at City College.
Deanna is one of the first faces you see when you walk through the door on a Saturday morning. She is always there to make everyone feel comfortable and welcome!

Matilda
Junior Company Director
Matilda has been teaching musical theatre to children aged 4–12 for the past two years, alongside leading her Women’s Actors Group for adults. She has performed in and directed short films and has also worked as an extra in several feature films, giving her experience both in front of and behind the camera. Matilda’s favourite part of teaching is creating a fun, supportive environment where students can grow in confidence and truly enjoy performing!

Julia Dixon
Choreographer
Julia was born in Norwich and began her Singing and Dance training at the age of five at the Central School of Dance. At the age of seven, she auditioned and was chosen for her first professional pantomime at the Theatre Royal, Norwich, and continued performing locally before accepting a three-year Performing Arts course at Laine Theatre Arts in Epsom.
Julia has also had the opportunity to work as a Stand-in/Walk-on/Extra Actor in various television, films and commercials including ‘This England’, ‘Eastenders’, ‘Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part II’, ‘Holby City’, ‘Law & Order UK’, Ben Elton’s ‘Maybe Baby’, ‘Sharman’, Kenneth Brannagh’s ‘Hamlet’, and ‘Soldier Soldier’.
She feels that to share a love of performing and pass that onto others is a wonderful opportunity.
The Theatretrain Story
Theatretrain was founded on the belief that the performing arts should be accessible to everyone, no matter their age, skill or ability. Our large-scale productions are unique to Theatretrain and invite our students to enjoy the learning experience and be a part of something bigger than themselves.
