Our Performing Arts Classes In Hellesdon (Saturdays)

All of our sessions at Theatretrain Norwich are led by professionals in an inclusive, group-based environment. We want your child to have FUN while they learn from some of the best in the industry, immersed in an impressive and enjoyable performance programme.

Theatretrain Norwich: Hellesdon Sessions

Our weekly Saturday sessions take place at Hellesdon High School 10am – 1pm, covering the 3 main principles of performance – acting, singing and dancing. Students receive an hour’s tuition in each class.

Our weekly Wednesday evening sessions take place at Cringleford Primary School. This class is an ‘Express’ version of the Saturday class, for those who may have other commitments on a Saturday morning.  Students receive 30 minutes of tuition in each class.

Main Company: Saturdays

These sessions bring students together in their age groups to learn ensemble songs, work on their acting skills and dance their socks off!

Junior Ensemble: Theatretrain Minis

Every dream starts somewhere… In these 90-minute sessions our young performers cover all three disciplines and learn the basic skills of imagination and stagecraft. 

Most importantly, we make sure everyone feels comfortable, creating a vibrant atmosphere to learn in!

Dance

Our professional choreographers instruct young people in a huge range of dance styles and techniques, letting them collaborate as a group and find the power of movement.

We organise large-scale performances, and each year our students have the chance to take part in exciting shows and events, making memories and developing skills that will last a lifetime. Our big performances have taken place in stunning venues like the Royal Albert Hall and West End theatres.

Answering your Theatretrain Norwich FAQs

Our sessions cover acting, dancing and singing. All our performers learn to use techniques that cover space, storytelling, sound and movement and what we call attitude – the feelings behind their performance. 

At our main company, sessions are offered to 6-18 year-olds, divided into age groups: 6-9 years, 9-12 years and 13-18 years. 

We also offer a Junior Ensemble known as our TT Minis sessions. This is suitable for 4-5-year-olds 

No, we don’t require you to audition for your place at Theatretrain. We don’t judge the people who want to join us, and we’re confident our students will quickly get in the swing of the Theatretrain Way.

Our main sessions are on Saturdays in term time from 10am-1pm.

We also offer a Junior Ensemble known as our TT Minis group. This takes place on Saturdays in term time from 11.15am -12.45pm.

Our Main Company session costs £25 for three hours.

Junior Ensemble: £15 for a 90-minute session.
