Kinky Boots: Ten Weeks, One Cast, Endless Pride!

Our recent production of Kinky Boots was an unforgettable experience for everyone involved – and above all, a moment to celebrate the incredible young performers who brought it to life.

In just ten weeks, from first read-through to curtain up at Shanklin Theatre, the cast worked with focus, determination and huge commitment. Taking on a show of this scale is no small task, and the way the children rose to the challenge was nothing short of outstanding.

Every performer on stage played their part in telling this bold, uplifting story. From powerful character work to confident vocals and slick choreography, the cast supported one another throughout, creating a show that felt exciting, polished and full of heart. Watching the children tackle complex scenes, fast-paced transitions and emotionally charged moments with such maturity was something we are immensely proud of.

What mattered most to us was seeing the growth in confidence, teamwork and professionalism across the entire cast. This production wasn’t just about putting on a show – it was about learning, pushing boundaries and discovering just how capable these young performers really are.

We want to say a huge congratulations to every performer who took part. You worked hard, trusted the process and supported one another every step of the way – and it showed. You should be incredibly proud of what you achieved.

At Theatretrain Isle of Wight, experiences like Kinky Boots are exactly what youth theatre is about: building skills, confidence and unforgettable memories on stage.

And the excitement doesn’t stop here…
Our next production will be the West End version of Frozen – and we cannot wait to see our performers step into another spectacular theatrical adventure.

Well done, cast. We couldn’t be prouder 👏✨
