Theatretrain Basingstoke WICKED Easter Musical Theatre Course!

Join us this Easter as we explore all things WICKED!

During our holiday courses we embody the musical we’re
working on! We explore script, learn dances, learn songs and work towards a
performance that takes place on the last day where friends and family are
invited. Our courses are all about having fun, meeting new people, making
friends, building confidence, improving your craft and above all we become an
ensemble. It’s incredible what you can achieve in 4 days and so special to see
how well everyone works together.

We pride ourselves on the fact that we offer professional
training in performing arts at Theatretrain Basingstoke. We love what we do!
Having trained in performing arts I know how important professionalism and good
training is at a young age, and we very much strive for that during all of our
classes and courses. My husband Joe has recently finished playing Phil Spector
in Tina The Musical in London’s West End so we have extremely strong links to
the industry.  All of my teachers are trained professionals and have a
real passion for teaching young people and passing on their skills.

Our course takes place at the Everest Community School in Basingstoke (Oxford Way, Sherborne St John, RG24 9UP) this is also where we run our weekly classes. It’s a fantastic facility with a stage and a fully-mirrored dance studio.

Joe Evans runs the course and we will be announcing special guests in due course! Joe has been a professional actor for over 14 years and has worked on both stage and screen. Other professional credits include Rutherford and Son (The National Theatre), Three Winters (The National Theatre), Les Miserable(West End) Dirty Dancing (UK tour), Beauty and The Beast (International tour). Black Mirror (Netflix), Coronation Street (ITV), Emmerdale (ITV), Deep State (Fox TV). Voice overs for BBC, ITV, Ch4 .

Joe is also an extremely experienced acting coach facilitating at ArtsEd (London), Mountview (London), Central College of Speech and Drama (London), The Watermill Theatre (Newbury), The Corn Exchange (Newbury) and many other institutions. Joe has a real passion for working with young people and strives to give each child a professional standard of training.

The cost for the 4 days is £120. For any siblings that would like to join there is a 20% sibling discount. We ask for a £50 (non-refundable) deposit please to secure your child’s place. The remaining balance is due on the 31st March.
