Over the past 30 years Theatretrain has put young peoples’ performances first, pioneered by the lifelong achievements of our Artistic Director and Founder, Kevin Dowsett, who has taught a generation of actors including Kelly Brook and Catherine Tate and Denise Gough.
Our Performing Arts Sessions In Cambridge North
Our theatre sessions take place at Chesterton Community Collage, Chesterton. Our training is fun, engaging and enjoyed by children of all ages.

Main Company (Ages 6-18)
Develop Lifelong Theatrical & Performance Skills The Fun Way
Sessions are divided into the following age groups: 6-9-year-olds, 9-12-year-olds and 13-18-year-olds. They become rehearsals for performances later in the year.

- Saturdays, 10am-1pm
- £22 per session

Junior Ensemble: TT Minis (Ages 4-5)
Fun Foundation Theatre Training For Little Ones
In this 90-minute session, your young performer will participate in all three disciplines and learn the basic skills of storytelling, imagination and stagecraft.

New: Theatretrain Cambridge October Workshops
Join Theatretrain Cambridge as we get spooky in our October half term workshops on the 23rd and 24th October. Let your young performer dive into the spooky worlds of Hocus Pocus & Hotel Transylvania. From exploring the madness of a giant hotel for ghosts, ghouls and mystical beings to experiencing the magic and potion making of the Sanderson sisters, your child will create memories that will last a lifetime. What could be better than learning to DANCE, ACT & SING through story, characters & movie musicals. The workshops are tailored to children aged between 6 – 16 years.
- Monday 23rd Oct – Hotel Transylvania
- Tuesday 24th Oct – Hocus Pocus
