This Summer Theatretrain Stevenage took to the stage for the first time in over 3 years to perform their show ‘Myths and Legends’.
This year’s show took place at the University of Bedfordshire Theatre and saw over 120 Theatretrain Students on stage.
This show was created by our students. We researched all kinds of Myths and Legends and created pieces based on them. In our show we explored Pandora’s box, Robin Hood, the Seven Deadly Sins, Theseus and the Minotaur and even the gold at the end of the rainbow.
Each age group performed a song, dance and a drama piece to an audience of over 400 people.
I love this piece performed by our 12+ age group. They started the term shy, anxious and not sure if they would be able to perform on stage and by the end of the show their confidence had grown so much they really connected to the work and created this amazing piece of theatre.
This is what Theatretrain is all about, creating pieces of theatre, not just a dance with a series of steps.
