Dance, act and sing this summer
The Summerschool is at Queen’s Park High School in Chester. The week-long workshop runs from 9.30am – 3.30pm from Monday to Friday and is suitable for children from age five up to eighteen.

We’re doing things sightly differently this year. Each day will follow a different theme. That means that children can choose to come for just one day or they can attend a selection of days and learn about five different productions. We’ll invite family and friends in on Friday afternoon to see the end of week presentation.

Theatretrain Chester Summer School FAQs
Where can I park?
DO NOT USE THE MAIN ENTRANCE. Drive along Queen’s Park Road, across the front of the school. You will see a small car park at the end of the building. Our entrance is adjecent to that car park.
What should my child wear?
Please send your child wearing suitable clothing to dance in (i.e. Leggings, jogging bottoms, jazz pants, and suitable footwear; trainers, ballet or jazz shoes). Not sandals or flip-flops or skirts or jeans.
Will there be breaks?
We have a supervised 15 minute break in the morning, half an hour for lunch and then another 15 minutes in the afternoon. Please send a suitable lunch and snacks for your child each day.
Will there be a show at the end of the week?
Yes! Family and friends are invited to join us for a short presentation in the school hall at 3pm on Friday
Are the Theatretrain staff qualified?
Of course! Our teachers are either professional actors or teachers (and in some cases both!). We all hold DBS certificates and are licensed with our local authorities to chaperone children in theatrical performances.
