Our theatre classes take place at Becket Keys Church of England School, Brentwood, where our students to come together every Saturday to connect, learn and create in a safe and inspiring environment. Through performing arts, we give children and young adults the tools they need, not just to reach their potential on stage, but also to thrive at school and lay the foundations for their future.
About Theatretrain Brentwood
We were established in 1994 and have created a range of exciting theatre events and productions. Highlights have included 25th Anniversary performance at the Royal Albert Hall (2018), annual performances at Brentwood’s Lighting Up and Strawberry Fair and local performance of Down the Rabbit Hole (2022).

Meet Lou Newington, your Centre Director
Lou gained a BA Hons in Theatre at Guildford School of Acting (GSA) and previously studied a foundation at East 15 Acting School.
Lou has performed professionally in plays, voice overs, pantomime and onboard cruise ships. With over 10 years of teaching experience, she has directed youth productions in the UK, USA and South East Asia.
Lou began as a teacher at Brentwood Theatretrain in 2016 and was delighted to step into 2021 as centre director.

Bethany Lyttle
Singing/Drama Teacher
Bethany began her professional training at Urdang Academy on the AVT Course and is currently completely a BA Hons Degree in Musical Theatre and Dance at Performers College. She has performed and competed in London and Las Vegas. Bethany was an extra in Disney’s “Club HSM – Make it Happen”. She also has played roles such as Belle from Beauty and the Beast and Wendy from Peter Pan. She has 3 years teaching experience and loves her Saturday mornings at Theatretrain.

Michaela Jeffries
Dance/Drama Teacher
Michaela is currently a third year student at Performers College, compeleting her BA Hons Degree in Musical Theatre and Dance. Originally from New Zealand, she has appeared in national premiers of The Addams Family and Bring it on musicals, performed as Belle in Beauty and the Beast and has appeared in Ragtime and 42nd Street.
Michaela loves sharing her skills with the kids at Theatretrain.
