Building Confidence & Training The Next Generation Of Performers…

Hi, I'm Becky!

Hi, I’m Becky! I’m the Company Director here at Theatretrain Chelmsford, where my job is to ensure your children are enjoying their professional theatre training in a fun and creative way. I have been performing since the age of 8 with the Essex Group, in shows and tours such as, West Side Story (Consuelo), Les Miserables (Ensemble), We Will Rock You (Teen Queen 1), Calamity Jane (Calamity Jane), Oliver Twist (Nancy) Sweeney Todd (Mrs Lovett) and many more. I am a fully trained member of The National Youth Theatre and continued my professional training with Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts obtaining BA HONS Acting degree, with an added qualification in Estil Voice Training. After graduating in 2013, I had a rehearsed reading for channel 4’s Fresh meat series, I then went on to tour with Vienna’s English Theatre travelling all around Austria and Northern Italy for 10 months, with Emma by Jane Austin, I have also appeared in ITV’s Grantchester as Suzy in series two,  short film, GAIA, two feature films, Anchor and Hope as Vicky and Rise Of The Footsoldier 3 as lawyer Kate Pritchard. To watch a child’s imagination work is the most magical thing there is.

Jo Jo

MINIS Director

Jo Jo loves music!  From an early age she loved singing, acting and dancing in school  productions King and I ( Lady Thang) and so the performing arts obsession began!
After completing her training at college and toured in Macbeth ( Lady Macbeth), Grease ( pink ladies)
Jo then went on to gain a BA honours degree in commercial music at Westminster university . Performance was an integral element playing at legendary London venues and with professional musicians, also joining a mixed media theatre company whilst at university (Eastern Biological) and performed at the Union chapel Islington.
Whilst currently teaching music and singing in a primary school Jo Jo is an expert when it comes to little ones.
A little message from Jo Jo:
My greatest inspiration in life is – The Trolls!
“ Forget everything – just sing! “
