All of our sessions at Theatretrain Brighton are led by professionals in an inclusive, group-based environment. We want your child to have FUN while they learn from some of the best in the industry, immersed in an impressive and enjoyable performance programme.
Theatretrain Brighton Sessions
Our weekly sessions take place at Kings School, Hove, covering the three main principles of performance – acting, singing and dancing.

Does your child love to sing, dance, and act?
Theatretrain Brighton offers young performers aged 4–18 the chance to train in musical theatre and take part in an exciting production of High School Musical Jr.
We invite new students to join us for a Taster Session, where they can experience what Theatretrain Brighton is all about while working towards our upcoming show.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of our talented cast and begin their journey on stage in a supportive and creative environment.

Theatretrain Brighton Summer Workshops age 6-16 years
Join us this summer for the second of two unforgettable 3-day Musical Theatre Workshops packed with singing, dancing, acting and West End magic!
Perfect for young performers who want to build confidence, make friends and learn routines inspired by hit stage shows. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or stepping into the spotlight for the first time, come and shine with Theatretrain Brighton this summer

Main Company Classes
- King's School Hove
- 6-18 year olds (divided into age groups)
- Saturdays 10am-1pm
- £25 per week (£84pm by direct debit)
These sessions bring students together in their age groups to learn ensemble songs, work on their acting skills and dance their socks off! They become rehearsals for a performance as the year progresses, and all students have the chance to perform each and every year.

Junior Company Classes: Minis
- King's School Hove
- 4-5 year olds
- Saturday mornings time 11:30am-1pm
- £15 per week (£50 pm by direct debit)
Every dream starts somewhere… In these 90-minute sessions our young performers cover all three disciplines and learn the basic skills of imagination and stagecraft. Most importantly, we make sure everyone feels comfortable, creating a vibrant atmosphere to learn in!

Dance
Our professional choreographers instruct young people in a huge range of dance styles and techniques, letting them collaborate as a group and find the power of movement.

Act
We empower your child to express themselves without judgement, encouraging them to take on characters, tell creative stories and follow their passion for acting.

Sing
We encourage all our students to build their confidence through song, embracing technical and real-world techniques used by singing professionals.

Get real performance experience
At the core, performing arts bring out excitement and emotion in us. We organise large-scale performances, and each year our students have the chance to take part in exciting shows and events, making memories and developing skills that will last a lifetime. Our big performances have taken place in stunning venues like the Royal Albert Hall and West End theatres.

Every individual is celebrated within our theatre company for being enthusiastic, true to themselves and for overcoming whatever struggles they came to the session with, whether it be shyness or difficulty concentrating. Our creative team are performing arts professionals, and they’re dedicated to making your child feel included and proud of their achievements as they progress.

What Sessions Do You Offer At Theatretrain Brighton?
Our sessions cover acting, dancing and singing. All our performers learn to use techniques that cover space, storytelling, sound and movement and what we call attitude – the feelings behind their performance.
What is the age range for Theatretrain?
At our main company, sessions are offered to 6-18 year-olds, divided into age groups: 6-9 years, 9-12 years and 13-18 years.
We also offer Junior Company, with TT Minis sessions for 4-5-year-olds
Do you have to audition to join Theatretrain?
No, we don’t require you to audition for your place at Theatretrain. We don’t judge the people who want to join us, and we’re confident our students will quickly get in the swing of the Theatretrain Way.
What Days And Times Are Sessions?
Our main sessions are on Saturday mornings from 10am-1pm
We also offer Junior Company: TT Minis sessions, which take place on TBC
How much do Theatretrain sessions cost?
Our Main Company session costs £28 per week.
Junior Company: £15 per week
