Hi, we are Shannon and Jessie! We are the Company Directors here at Theatretrain Bishops Stortford, where our job is to ensure your children are enjoying their professional theatre training in a fun and creative way.
We have both been members of the Theatretrain family for the past 20 years as both students and teachers and cannot wait to inspire the next generation of students to make their dreams come true and build their confidence.

Anna Piper
Theatre Director
Anna has trained with The Television Workshop and The National Youth Theatre. She has worked alongside Lenny Henry in BBC’s ‘Danny and the Human Zoo’. Her stage career has included work at theatres such as The Royal Court, Birmingham REP and The Coventry Belgrade. Anna has also created her own work, with sold-out shows at both The Vaults Festival & Brighton Fringe. As a teacher Anna is now an associate for The National Youth Theatre. Anna loves to teach and guide the students to reach their potential and use their imagination.

Georgie Montgomery
Musical Director
Georgie is a multifaceted actor & writer, who trained in musical theatre at The MTA in London. Her work has taken her across the globe working in shows & musicals from Italy to China. Georgie lead the award winning film ‘Dead Eye’ and is about to embark on her latest feature film ‘The Forgotten’. She also has three of her own plays featuring on a radio station ‘On Another Wavelength’. Georgie is delighted to be part of the Theatretrain team and loves watching the children grow in confidence & ability.

Ryan Ferrie
Choreographer
Ryan trained in Musical Theatre at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS). He has worked in TV, film & stage as an actor, director and choreographer, working with BBC Scotland & the National Theatre of Scotland. Ryan is also a Lecturer of Musical Theatre for the Junior Conservatoire programme at RCS. Ryan is a dedicated mentor, committed to providing practical support & assistance to aspiring young people. He is currently the associate agent for Infinity Artists & heads the London Hub and supports his clients in their career on the stage.

Jesse McMahon
Cover Teacher (All Disciplines)
Jesse found her love for performing at a young age and attended Theatretrain from 6-18 years old. She then went on to study at The Oxford School of Drama and then furthered her training at The Urdang Academy. Jesse cannot wait to share her love for the performing arts with every student that walks through Theatretrain’s doors.

Shannon Foster
Junior Ensemble Director
Shannon has been a part of the Theatretrain family since 2001 as both a student and a teacher. She was award a BA Hons degree in Drama in 2015 from Canterbury Chirst Church University. Since then she has made teaching and inspiring young children to follow their dreams her main focus. A professional credit includes taking part in the Canterbury Festival.

Theatretrain was founded on the belief that the performing arts should be accessible to everyone, no matter their age, skill or ability. Our large-scale productions are unique to Theatretrain and invite our students to enjoy the learning experience and be a part of something bigger than themselves.
