Over the past 30 years Theatretrain has put young peoples’ performances first, pioneered by the lifelong achievements of our Artistic Director and Founder, Kevin Dowsett, who has taught a generation of actors including Kelly Brook and Catherine Tate and Denise Gough.
Our Performing Arts Sessions In Wrexham
Our theatre sessions take place at Coleg Cambria, Yale in Wrexham. Our training is fun, engaging and enjoyed by children of all ages.

Main Company (Ages 6-18)
Develop Lifelong Theatrical & Performance Skills The Fun Way
Sessions are divided into the following age groups: 6-9-year-olds, 9-12-year-olds and 13-18-year-olds. They become rehearsals for performances later in the year.
- Coleg Cambria, Yale, Wrexham
- 6-18 year olds
- Saturdays 10am-1pm
- £260 per term (payable in three monthly instalments)
- One-off Registration fee of £20
- Summer Term is 13 weeks, Saturday 18th April – Saturday 11th July 2026

Junior Ensemble: TT Minis (Ages 4-5)
Fun Foundation Theatre Training For Little Ones
In this 90-minute session, your young performer will participate in all three disciplines and learn the basic skills of storytelling, imagination and stagecraft.
- Coleg Cambria, Yale, Wrexham
- 4-5 year olds
- Saturdays 11am-12.30pm
- £156 per term (payable in three monthly instalments)
- One-off Registration fee of £20
- Summer Term is 13 weeks, Saturday 18th April – Saturday 11th July 2026

Junior Ensemble: TT Tinies (Ages 3)
Fun Foundation Theatre Training For Little Ones
In this 30-minute session, your young performer will participate in all three disciplines and learn the basic skills of storytelling, imagination and stagecraft.

- 3 year olds
- Saturdays 11am-11.45am
- £91 per term (payable in three monthly instalments)

Our Production For Summer 2026
Our Spring Term has begun with the news that we’re starting preparations for our production of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, Oklahoma! This will be performed at Theatr Clwyd in Mold in July. All pupils joining us now will be able to take part in this production.


Just Announced
An additional production tailored especially for our older pupils. The Green Groups (ages 13) from all local Theatretrains will be joining forces for this musical production at The Tivoli in Buckley in December

Our Most Recent Production
In September 2025 our Main Company travelled to London to perform at The Royal Albert Hall in ‘We’re Gonna Change The World’.

Summerschools
Our 2026 season of Summerschools is now available for booking.
Join us for the full week or select individual days.
There’ll also be a performance for families at 3pm on the Friday

Each week pupils of all ages meet in the school hall for an hour of dancing, acting, singing and theatre games
