All of our sessions at Theatretrain Ruthin are led by professionals in an inclusive, group-based environment. We want your child to have FUN while they learn from some of the best in the industry, immersed in an impressive and enjoyable performance programme.
Theatretrain Ruthin Sessions
Our weekly sessions take place at The Assembly Room, Ruthin Town Hall, covering the 3 main principles of performance – acting, singing and dancing.
TT Express (Juniors)

- 6-11yrs
- Mondays | 5pm-6pm
- £7.50 per session, payable in monthly instalments
These sessions bring students together in their age groups to learn ensemble songs, work on their acting skills and dance their socks off! They become rehearsals for a performance as the year progresses, and all students have the chance to perform each and every year.
TT Express (Seniors)

- 12-18yrs
- Mondays | 6pm-8pm
- £15 per session, payable in monthly instalments
Every dream starts somewhere… In these 120-minute sessions our young performers cover all three disciplines and learn the basic skills of imagination and stagecraft. Most importantly, we make sure everyone feels comfortable, creating a vibrant atmosphere to learn in!

What To Expect From Your Theatretrain Experience…
Dance
Our professional choreographers instruct young people in a huge range of dance styles and techniques, letting them collaborate as a group and find the power of movement.
Act
We empower your child to express themselves without judgement, encouraging them to take on characters, tell creative stories and follow their passion for acting.
Sing
We encourage all our students to build their confidence through song, embracing technical and real-world techniques used by singing professionals.

At the core, performing arts bring out excitement and emotion in us. We organise large-scale performances, and each year our students have the chance to take part in exciting shows and events, making memories and developing skills that will last a lifetime. Our big performances have taken place in stunning venues like the Royal Albert Hall and West End theatres.

What Sessions Do You Offer At Theatretrain Ruthin?
Our sessions cover acting, dancing and singing. All our performers learn to use techniques that cover space, storytelling, sound and movement and what we call attitude – the feelings behind their performance.
What is the age range for Theatretrain?
At our Senior TT Express sessions are offered to 12-18 year-olds.
We also offer Junior TT Express sessions for 6-11-year-olds
Do you have to audition to join Theatretrain?
No, we don’t require you to audition for your place at Theatretrain. We don’t judge the people who want to join us, and we’re confident our students will quickly get in the swing of the Theatretrain Way.
What Days And Times Are Sessions?
Our TT Express Juniors are Mondays 5pm-6pm
We also offer TT Express Seniors on Mondays 6pm-8pm
How much do Theatretrain sessions cost?
Our TT express Seniors session costs £15 for two hours, payable in monthly instalments
TT Express Juniors: £7.50 for a 1 hour session, payable in monthly instalments
