Would Theatretrain Suit My Child?

There isn’t one “type” of Theatretrain child.

They might perform constantly at home.

They might be itching for somewhere to sing, dance and act.

Or they might be quietly looking for their people.

They don’t have to be the loudest child in the room. And they don’t need to arrive full of confidence.

A WELCOME FROM GERALDINE

Children don’t have to arrive confident.

Some burst through the door. Others hover, barely speak or aren’t ready for Mum or Dad to leave.

We’ve seen all of them. Our job is to help each child feel comfortable enough that, eventually, they want to join in.

NERVOUS IS NORMAL

“What if they won’t go in?”

One child watched during their first session, joined in partly the next week and completed the whole session by week three.

They had made a friend. Now they’re one of the bubbly ones.

There isn’t one ‘right’ way to start Theatretrain.

A few things parents often ask

If your question isn’t here, call Geraldine on 07492 885207.

Absolutely. Nervous is normal. We welcome children gently and help them settle at their own pace. There is no pressure to arrive full of confidence.

Not at all. Children join us with all different levels of experience. All they need is comfortable clothing, a drink and a willingness to give it a try.

We usually find children settle more easily once the session gets going. If your child is particularly nervous, tell us before the session and we’ll agree the best way to help them in.

If your child loves it and would like to continue, we’ll explain the options. If it isn’t right for them, that’s absolutely fine — there is no pressure.

£25 · THREE HOURS · NO OBLIGATION TO CONTINUE

They won’t know until they try it.
