Our Performing Arts Sessions in Hitchin
Our weekly classes bring together drama, singing and dance, giving children the chance to develop their performance skills, build confidence and make friends. Sessions take place every Saturday at Hitchin Girls’ School.
Children are very welcome to come dressed up for Halloween if they’d like to, although costumes are completely optional.
You don’t need to be a current Theatretrain student to join us, so friends are welcome too.
Places are limited, so please book in advance.
Halloween Workshop (Ages 4 -18)
Join us for a spooktacular Theatretrain Halloween workshop on Saturday 31st October!
We’ll be spending the session singing, dancing, acting and getting creative with a Halloween theme. There’ll be plenty of fun, a few spooky surprises and lots for everyone to get involved in.

Drama, Singing & Dance Classes for 6-18yrs
Sessions are divided into the following age groups: 6-8 year olds, 9-11 year olds and 12-18 year olds. They become rehearsals for performances later in the year.

Junior Company: TT Minis (Ages 4-5)
Drama, Singing & Dance for 4-5 year olds
In this 90-minute session, your young performer will participate in all three disciplines and learn the basic skills of storytelling, imagination and stagecraft.

- Saturdays | 9.15am-10.45am and 10.45am-12.15pm
- £47 per month by Direct Debit from the second term onwards. First term fees are paid per term (maximum £196).

How much do classes cost?
Theatretrain Hitchin offers classes for aspiring young stars of all ages. Prices start from £47-80 per month depending on the age of your child. Visit our pricing page here for more information and to see our payment plans.
My child is quite shy, will your classes help?

Theatretrain Hitchin’s Main School and TT Minis classes are located at Hitchin Girls School, Highbury Rd, Hitchin SG4 9RS.

What do children do at Theatretrain Hitchin?
Our Main Company session is a 3hr session including 1hr dance, 1hr singing and 1hr drama. Each subject is taught by a specialist teacher. We have 3 groups Group 1 (6-8yrs), Group 2 (9-11yrs) and Group 3 (12-18yrs) Each Group rotates round the 3 disciplines.
Our Minis Session is a 90min session including 30mins or drama 30mins of singing and 30mins of dance with 1 teacher and assistant.
Both groups get a small snack break in the middle of the session.
Does my child need any experience?
Not at all. Children join us with all sorts of experience – from those who already love performing to those trying something like this for the very first time. We meet them where they are and help them settle in at their own pace.
