Our theatre classes take place at The Chellaston Academy, Derby, where our students to come together every Saturday to connect, learn and create in a safe and inspiring environment. Through performing arts, we give children and young adults the tools they need, not just to reach their potential on stage, but also to thrive at school and lay the foundations for their future.

About Theatretrain Derby

We were established in 2013 and have created a range of exciting theatre events and productions. Highlights have included: “Honk!”, “Cats”, “Move”, “How to Make A Hero” and “Special Measures”.

Theatretrain Derby is run by Centre Director Marcus Scimia.  We are part of a large network of Theatretrain Centre’s across the UK, which means we can tap into the network and connect with industry leading experts in the performing arts industry.

Meet Marcus Scimia, your Centre Director

Marcus is an experienced performer across various fields of the industry and has a passion and flare for teaching and coaching children and young people in the performing arts. 

Marcus is faculty in several of the midlands leading Musical Theatre Colleges.
