Our theatre classes take place at Clacton County High School where our students to come together every Saturday to connect, learn and create in a safe and inspiring environment. Through performing arts, we give children and young adults the tools they need, not just to reach their potential on stage, but also to thrive at school and lay the foundations for their future. 

About Theatretrain Clacton

We were established in 2008 and have created a range of exciting theatre events and productions. Highlights have included: Performing at The O2 london, The Royal Albert Hall and Theatre Royal Drury Lane. Our local Westcliff Theatre yearly, Disneyland Paris 3 times.

Meet Maria Tedder, your Centre Director

Maria takes pride on the centre being a happy family, she likes to know all pupils individually and cater to their strengths and any weakness they may have. Friendliness is above and beyond at Clacton

Maria Tedder

Drama Teacher

Maria has taught drama at the centre since it opened in 2008 she loves watching the pupils grow into characters on stage and has done many workshops including Hairspray, Oliver, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Mamma Mia, Maria has written her own show as well as teaching many musicals.

Dawn Holmes

Singing Teacher

Dawn is a fantastic teacher and has been teaching for over 20 years, she was one of our first singing teachers at our centre and luckily she has come back with her amazing voice and teaching methods, Dawn is kind, calm mannered and loves teaching singing.

Emma Tedder

Dance Teacher

Emma started at Theatretrain when she was just 6 years old, she has performed at The London Palladium, The O2, Theatre Royal Drury Lane and Disneyland. Emma has taught in Theatretrain for 8 years and can teach many styles of dance, Emma can teach singing and drama also.
