
After the success of our first Theatretrain residential Summer Academy in 2009, we are pleased to announce that from 2010 this has become a National Theatretrain event. The week will include general classes in Drama, Dance and Singing as well as specialist workshops in Song Writing, Costume Making, Stage Make-up, Set Design, and Technical Control in fact everything to cover putting together a successful performance. Pupils also work on a production shown at the end of the week.
The Royal Hospital School in Suffolk offers beautiful surroundings with views overlooking the River Orwell. It stands in over 300 acres. They have a large indoor swimming pool and vast playing fields. Other activities for the week include, swimming, outdoor sports, competitions and quizzes.
Not a Theatretrain pupil..? Not a problem, the Academy is open to all young people between the ages of 6-18 years.
The cost for the week (7 days)

Transport from Ipswich Railway Station and return can be provided daily at a small fee.
Theatretrain offers two boarding places free of charge, one male and one female. The Scholarships are only open to Theatretrain pupils.

Join us for a Musical Medley!
Professional performers and theatre practioners deliver a fun filled action packed week of Performing arts training. Learn how to put together a fabulous show with masterclasses in devising, comedy, improvisation, stagecraft, dance techniques, vocal coaching and much more. Plus classes from our teachers and a performance for all your friends and family at the end of the week!
